Perfect weekend in T-ride for Mountain Film
Backpacking with the O'Neills and Jenny
Bijan and Keren Salehi
The Boys of 2197 at the Salehi Rehearsal Dinner

It's been a long while since we have posted on this blog. Being that we are pregnant, maybe we should get used to this form of mass communication to update family and friends on our happenings.
In brief since our last posting....found out we are expecting a baby in December, Angie visited her family in KY for a couple of weeks, Telluride Mountain Film Festival, Backpacking...day, and a trip to the Outer Banks of NC for the Salehi wedding.

So Cal (i hate that saying) with the Herberichs

Brad and Chris catch some waves our first morning in Ventura Co, CA. This is the green zone...for newbies only.
We took a stroll along Venice Beach. People watching at its finest! Chris wanted to hop the fence into the weight area here, but we convinced him posing would suffice.
Chris sagging his pants, trying to join the rank and file of the skateboarders and teens in the area. Along the way we saw about 20 medical marijuana shops, a wacky funhouse with a 2 headed turtle, about 100 reggae clothiers, and "the wrolds biggest corndog." Really.

We had a wonderful weekend of food and wine, sightseeing by bike and car and learning all about Cindy's new business, Loohoo's Asian Comfort Food: http://www.facebook.com/pages/LooHoos-Inc-Asian-Comfort-FoodTM/148547272618.

Yosemite

Pictures from our trip last weekend to Yosemite. What a beautiful place. A valley floor with huge granite walls, raging waterfalls and flowering meadows. And a ski area within the park only a half hour drive from the valley.

We XC skied on Glacier Point Road (closed to traffic in the winter b/c of snow). We made it to Taft point, about 8 miles one way. From the point, you can view the valley floor and Upper Yosemite Falls.

Bridalveil Falls. A quick hike in from the road.

El Capitan- WOW. You go Lynn Hill (first person to ever free climb The Nose of El Cap...be it man or woman).

Mirror lake....the site of some famous Ansel Adams shots

Our view entering the valley from the tunnel. El Cap off to the left and Half Dome the farthest point you can see.

Visalia Life

Enjoying beautiful sunny days the last 2 weeks. Lots of bike rides up in the hills. Picture lush green rolling hills dotted with cows/horses and snow capped peaks in the distance. Seeing a lot more cyclists out these days.

Had a visit from the Ostyn's from Twin Falls last week. Hung out with the coolest 2 year old boy we know! We took another trip up to Monterey. Spent time on the beach and in town with Jen and Gabe. The Ostyn's have had their 4th consecutive Spring Break with the Cook's. We're hoping for a 5th next year, but with 2 kids, the Cook's may have to go to Idaho!

Decked out in Blue today for the UK game. May be a tough game vs the Ivy-leaguers from Cornell. They gave KU a tough run in early January. For the record, I am beating Chris in our bracket tourney. I will lose the whole thing since 3/4 of my Final 4 have lost...but I must gloat when I can. So rarely do I have this opportunity...

1 month til we are back in Boulder....
